Cross-Cultural Agility
Cross-cultural opportunities and challenges come in many forms. It can be leading culturally diverse teams or working within one, working with teams on other parts of the world or moving to a new culture. Each can be exciting and a little daunting at the same time. All of them broaden the mind and senses and offer great opportunities for curiosity. What have you observed? What cross-cultural experiences have you had?
Cross-cultural agility training and coaching includes elements of intercultural training, learning more about where you are coming from and where you are going. It offers understanding of deeper cultural values and teaches how to create strategies for smooth intercultural interaction. It gives space for self-discovery, creating awareness for the self and beyond, acknowledging the differences and turning these into an asset on both a personal and professional level.
A specific tool for cross-cultural awareness and agility, for individuals, teams and leadership is the Model of Freedom®.

The Model of Freedom®
Cross-Cultural Agility
Communication is an essential part of everyday life through which we build relationships, transfer content and work together to achieve common goals. When we communicate and interact within our culture, we may feel more at ease, yet when communicating, working and leading across cultures and borders, different challenges and misunderstandings may, and oftentimes do, arise…
The Model of Freedom, developed by Mijnd Huijser, is a framework that explains intercultural behavior. It visualizes why people from different cultures and backgrounds act, perceive and interpret as they do. The model is used to generate self-awareness and appreciation for the advantages of individual and cultural differences.
Global Mindset & Mindfulness for Leaders
Everything starts within. Self-awareness, self-acceptance, and self-management are keys to connecting yourself with your inner resources and embracing your authentic self. Be responsible for the energy you bring to a room and be responsible for the mindset you bring to a conversation.
As you look at your mindset, what are you learning about your surroundings, what is your attitude towards your surroundings, and how flexible are you to adapt your behavior and your interpersonal relationships? How do you listen? What is your attitude towards leadership? What is your own unique style? And how is your doing aligning with your being?
Are you bringing curiosity to your environment? Are you taking the time for what matters - in that particular moment? Or are you too far in the future to forget and overlook the importance of the present? Taking a step back, taking a moment to breathe and disconnect can ease the way forward. Develop your own authentic leadership style. What you change within will have an effect on those around you.

Team Development
The level of trust and energy within a team is an indicator of its effectiveness and success. Is your team struggling or thriving? What issues is your team facing and what does success look like? To move a team forward, different methods such as coaching, training, and team building can be called upon. This creates opportunity to discover strengths, learn skills needed to develop a team, create the desired learning culture, and move forward in achieving goals.
Together we strive to create awareness and understanding for the differences in people of different cultures, generations and ethnicities and encourage curiosity. Tapping into resources such as Co-Active Coaching, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), the Model of Freedom® and other coaching tools, we encourage to speak the unspoken, discover similarities, embrace and appreciate differences, and to build a common ground for inclusiveness, equity and effective communication.
Together we set goals and we strive to reach them. We start within to create the change we wish to see. We champion, encourage and celebrate personal and professional growth.
